Safety & Environment Management Plan (SEMP)

Port of Portland has an integrated Safety and Environment Management Plan (SEMP) adopting a ‘whole of port’ approach including the community and relevant authorities.

The SEMP is regularly reviewed and is supported by an active Safety and Environmental Management System.

Safety and Environment Management – Port User and Tenants

All Port users and Tenants are required to have Safety and Environmental Management Systems and associated action plans to ensure Port of Portland’s expectations for safety of employees, port users, tenants and the community are met, continually monitored and improved.

Site Based Management Plan

The purpose of the Site Based Management Plan (SBMP) is to ensure Port of Portland’s expectations for all employees, port users, tenants and the community are not subjected to undue safety and environmental impacts.
