Register (create an account) and login to the Permit Applications Login area on the right.
If you have any problems registering, please contact the Port of Portland Permits Officer on 03 5525 0900.
Download, and ask your employer to complete the  Acknowledgement and Sponsorship form (click to download). You must present this form when picking up your permit. Please also ensure your employer reads and understands the Conditions of Use (click to download).

- You need to complete the next 2 steps in one sitting. If you don't, you will need to complete them again in full.
- Please read the following instructions carefully, to ensure you are adequatelly prepared to complete the next 2 steps.

| STEP 2 |
Complete the induction process by watching videos and answering questions about the videos.
The induction process consists of 4 sections:
- Section 1 - Security and Port Access
- Section 2 - Occupational Health and Safety
- Section 3 - Port Operations
- Section 4 - Environment
You must correctly answer each question to pass a section and be allowed to move onto the next section.
You must pass all 4 sections to move on to and be elligible for the permit application process.

Complete the online permit application form.
Please ensure you can complete the online permit application by having the following items and information at hand:
- your drivers licence number and expiry date
- your MSIC number and expiry date
- a completed Acknowledgement & Sponsorship form (above)
You can speed up your application if you also supply:
- your photo as a jpeg file, no bigger than 300kb
- scan of your driver’s licence as a jpeg file, no bigger than 300kb
