K.S. Anderson Wharf

K.S. Anderson Wharf Berths No. 1 and No. 2 have a total length of 398m, providing loading rates of up to 1400 tonnes per hour. The Transit sheds on the berths can be used while the loaders are in operation.


No. 1 Berth

The minimum depth alongside is 12.5m.  No. 1 Berth is 255m long and its apron is 17.5m wide. Immediately behind the apron is No. 1 Transit shed (2530m²) and an open storage space of about 0.5ha. The berth is used primarily for the bulk handling of grains and woodchips.


No. 2 Berth

The minimum depth alongside is 11.5m.  This berth is a continuation of No. 1 Berth. Its apron is 17.5m wide and is backed by No. 2 Transit shed, (5570m²) and 0.5ha of open storage. No. 2 Berth is used for bulk grain, liquid pitch and sulphuric acid.


No. 5 Berth

The minimum depth alongside is 12.5m.  This heavy duty berth is 240m long, and has the capacity to handle fully integrated container and quarter ramp roll-on roll-off traffic. Its apron is 18.7m wide and is backed by a storage area of 0.9ha. No. 5 Transit Shed (5570m²) is located adjacent.


No. 6 Berth

The minimum depth alongside is 12m.  The berth is 229m long. Its apron is 21m wide and is backed by a storage area of 0.4ha. The berth handles woodchips, break bulk, logs, ingots, particleboard, container ro-ro, fertilisers and livestock.


Smelter Berth

The Smelter Berth services the import shipping requirements of the Portland Aluminium Smelter. The minimum depth alongside is 12.5m. The berth is 203m long.


S.L. Patterson Berth

The S.L Patterson Berth is located on the Lee Breakwater, about 457m from the seaward end of the breakwater. The berth is 76m long with a minimum depth alongside of 11m. The berth is currently used to accommodate the harbour tugs Cape Nelson and Cape Grant.


PORT REQUIREMENT

Under Keel Clearance (UKC): Minimum of 0.5m UKC for arrival and departure for any vessel.



Notice to Port Users with Current User Licence


Port Users who have entered into storage/lease agreements with the port have been allocated stipulated areas where they can store equipment necessary for their operations on the port.
