David Looker - Chairman

David has worked in the shipping industry in Australia and overseas with Jardine Matheson, ANL Limited, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Line and Pacific Basin Shipping.  These executive roles were held in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, UK, US and China.

David has had extensive Board experience in joint ventures, consortia and industry Associations. David was the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Darwin Port Corporation from 2007 to 2010, and was appointed Chairman of the Port of Portland in 2008.

Peter Edmonds - Director

Peter Edmonds is currently a director of Utilities of Australia Pty Ltd (a 50% shareholder of Port of Portland) and a director of Port of Portland Pty Ltd and Chairman of its Board Audit Committee.

From 1994 to 2001, Peter was CEO of the South Australian Ports Corporation, and from 1988 to 1994 CEO of South Australian Cooperative Bulk Handling. Prior to this, he worked in senior executive roles in Australia, South East Asia and North America in manufacturing, services, mining and banking. Peter is a past Chairman of the South Australian Freight Council and past President of the Association of Australian Port and Marine Authorities. He was Chairman or director of Statewide Superannuation Trust between 1992 and 2007.

Peter Davie - Director

Peter is currently Chief Executive Officer of Port of Lyttelton in Christchurch, New Zealand. 

Prior to that Peter worked for seven years in Australia as Chief Executive of the Port of Portland.  He was also involved in the development of a new container terminal in Brisbane (with CSX World Terminals) and as a director of the Adelaide Container Terminal. Through these roles Peter has gained valuable insights into trends in international trade and port practices and developments.

Peter is a Council Member of Business New Zealand, President of the Canterbury Employers Chamber of Commerce and a director of Port of Portland Pty Ltd (Australia).

James Fraser-Smith - Director

James is a shareholder nominated Director on the board of the Port of Portland. James has worked for Hastings Funds Management (Hastings) since March 2005 and is currently an Associate Director, Infrastructure based in Melbourne. Hastings manages the investment in Port of Portland on behalf of its shareholders, Utilities Trust of Australia and the ASX listed Australian Infrastructure Fund. As a member of the Hastings infrastructure team, James is responsible for portfolio strategy, asset management and investment analysis.

James holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. He is also a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, having completed a Masters of Applied Finance.
